Homework Policy

 

Homework will be given out to students everyday except Friday, Family Nights and after Field Trips.  Homework is expected to be returned the next day. If there is a reason the homework could not be completed the day assigned, please inform me of the reason, and complete the homework by the next school day. If your child is absent, PARENTS are responsible for making contact with the teacher for missed classwork and homework. Homework should be completed, signed by a parent and returned to school in the child's homework folder.

Social Contract
 

The social contract is a list that is developed by the students and teachers. This list includes rules that were agreed upon as a classroom. These rules are accepted and will be  followed by everyone in the classroom to help it operate effectively.

 

* The rules will be created the first week of school and will be poster after September 8th, 2017.

Want to meet with Mama Aletha?

 

If you wish to meet to discuss information about you child. I am available to speak with parents everyday after school at 3:45. If you wish to meet in the mornings, I have availablity on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30-7:55am.  If you wish to ask questions afterschool hours, please call or text me and I will respond as soon as possible.

 

Birthday Parties and Celebration Policies

Timbuktu do not celebrate any religious holiday's. This includes Halloween, Chirstmas, and Valentine's Day. If you would like to bring cupcakes and snacks for your child's birthday, I gladly invite you into the classroom. However, contact Mama Aletha before the day of the celebration to discuss time and classroom allergies.
